Hi Rosslyn-
Cool first name. I am awaiting a call from my aunt who was close to my
grandfather and has actual names and places. We can count our kin back to
the sixteen hundreds. But as soon as my great grandfather arrived here with
my grandfather, his brother, and my great grandmother, he took off with the
brother and left my grandfather alone with his mom. I believe he was like
ten. Must have been tough. But he never talked about it. So we have had to
follow leads. So I will get back to you. I am only guessing about Huntsville
as my Dad and my Grandad used to go to Huntsville to buy food before they
went to "the island" to fish for black bass. Not much to go on but if it
was easy, everyone would do it.
