Needless to say, the
``Hypercool Happy New Year 2000 funny programs and animations...''
posting was not from me nor MIDS.

Unfortunately, yes it is a virus, contained in a file cupid.exe.
Please don't download it and please don't forward it.

A mildly clever cracker managed to fake the mild security we
use on the list software and posted the bogus message with the virus.
We have closed the route they used to get in, and we are investigating.
