Thanks for your history of the Eureka uprising.  I was at Ballarat (from 
New Zealand) a couple of months ago and went to Sovereign Hill, which was 
an amzaing experience for someone who had a miner ancestor nearby at the 
time.  (He was at Barker's Creek, I believe.)  Do you know if there is a 
list of miners who sought licences??
