RE: [Fwd: Family tree of the Earls of Caithness and the Lords Sinclair]

	Michelle

You could have a database with as many SINCLAIR families as you want
without them interconnecting. I used PAF (Personal Ancestral File) & have
about 7 different databases. One is for the people related to me (over
30,000 names as I have been doing genealogy for over 20 years) & another is
for any SINCLAIR family who lived in Ontario, Canada (over 5,000 names).

Lena,

Yes, I am doing the exact same thing. I have entered both my father's
(Sinclair) and
my mother's families (my great aunt was a genealogist involved with the
Mayflower
Society) into my database. I have been quite lucky on all sides, provided
with far
more info than I can digest. I think that as a result I have gained more
and more
interest in the history of it all. My database contains 1400+ people and
is growing
all the time. I have added bios when ever possible. It would be amazing
one day to
have one giant database, but I fear the genealogists would not be so happy.

Great Luck,

Michelle
