When we start on a roll it keeps going for a while so keep the energy
harnessed and flowing. On the religious front it was Jean Haddow that has
documented early Babtists in Caithness. The original religion I suspect in
Caithness was Catholic with the Bishops of Ross (Orkney)(Sinclair) being
Catholic. I went into some Scottish sources and the dates have me confused
as to when certain movements took hold. In Argyll the Church of Scotland was
dominent. John Knox dates back to the early 1500's and the Lutheren movement
in the 1500's as well. It would be logical as to the Presbyterian influence
being very strong in Ontario during the 1800's. This lasted to 1920's and
Church Union. Now as to those Baptists in Caithness we are waiting for Jean.
