Wanted to take a moment to clarify and provide
some general knowledge:
The International Genealogical Index (IGI) is
one of two databases maintained by the Family History Library and the LDS Church
(the "Mormons"). The other database is called the Ancestral File
(AF). The IGI is not in any way connected with the internet. The FHL
accepts files from individuals who donate them. The accuracy of the
information given is not verified or confirmed in any way by the
FHL.
Access to these databases is provided at the FHL in Salt Lake
City, as well as in "Family History Centers" throughout the
world. The Centers are usually located in an LDS church
building.
