Re: The Sinclair Badge: Whin

I'm not surprised to hear from Gary that Gorse is prohibited for import
into the USA. Some misguided early immigrant brought some gorse to New
Zealand in early colonial times and it has become a major, major pest
problem - although somewhat admired by American and Japanese tourists in
their blissful ignorance ('Oh, what lovely yellow flowers all over the
hillsides'). Any country without it is well advised to work hard to keep it
that way!
