I had read about the untimley death of John Rankin through the MacKeel e-mail 
list. He was obviously well respected by the Celtic musicians and others. He 
will live on in the music he made to entertain us. The music seems to take 
you back "home" with searing fiddles, misty skys, and heather on the hill.
