Re: The wise men

Hi, Folks..
And another view to all concerned..the 12 apostles did not write their
"Gospels" for Years after Christ's death. (the single Apostle "Paul",
formally known as Saul) published His works long before the original
twelve. Matters became complicated with the consideration that the story
of the birth was translated into Greek and Roman and was open to many
discrepincies....My best guess would be taken from the so called Wonders
of The World, which themselves came later after an expansion of Greek
territory much later. None of these wonders were far from the known
world, even though Alexander had moved the borders out considerably. A
European King..not likely given the almost stone aged state of their
govenments..African..I can buy that, but not too far.A King from the
orient, by the time it reached the written page likely meant somewhere
in Asia Minor, close by...as "The Orient" was just that..Persia, et al,
until Marco Polo.
Regards,Gordon... (I wager I am in trouble over this, but O Well, It is
discussion) P.S. I would LOVE to be in a ship in the small fleet that
Prince Henry had...and move to the New world...G
