I just had to throw in the fact that my Sinclair ancestor---John Sinclair, 
according to
a newspaper article written after an interview with his son---James Sinclair, 
was
abiding by the non-clan custom a long time ago.

"....evidently being at the time 7-8 years of age.  He was as wild as any 
beast, and 
lived on fish which he killed with a stick.  He was run down with horses, and 
captured and of course could not talk........"

Now you have to understand that from what I have learned through General 
Sessions
Court papers, this son James could just as easily made the whole thing up!
