Baptist Religion--A hint?

In researching HARRY LINNELEY ST. CLAIR, said to be from Kansas City, Missouri
and born in 1860s one persistent family memory was that Harry and his family
were Baptists.  Unfortunately, that is about the only fact that has survived.

Is Baptist religious affiliation anything to build on with a St. Clair in
Missouri in  the 1860s?  I am sure many of us would welcome comments from some
of you who have a strong historical sense of the range and significance of
religious affiliation within Sinclair/St. Clair families.
