For anything religious in nature, try the Catholic Encyclopedia on-line at:

This encyclopedia covers practically anything you can imagine, and is a
wonderful reference for all sorts of topics.  I have looked up Baptists,
cathedrals, art, Episcopalians, Ireland, and much more.
