Dear Cathy;
I have been amused and interested in genetic traits and the
last ten years has contributed a lot to our understanding of
genetics and DNA. When several generations in a geographical
area live and produce offspring, it is hardly surprising
that certain traits are passed down. I was interested in one
study in Wales where a corpse of an ancient Pict was
identified to a local descendant after the passage of
several thousand years through DNA Matching. Genetics is
becoming to be understood as more and more important in
human development.
I wanted to correct one statement you made about being the
only Canadian on the list. Sinclairs are from many countries
on this list and there are a number of us that reflect the
migrations to Canada. One suggestion that might help;
Something individuals might do is add the genealogical
information with their name.
Hence
Neil Sinlcair Argyll/PEI/Toronto alerts others to areas of
interest and current geography.
