Hudson Valley, NY Sinclairs

It's been a while since I asked if anyone knew of a J. Sinclair (origin
unknown) married to Rebecca Herman (origin unknown).  They were the
parents of two sisters, Virginia (known as Jennie!) and Caroline.  Their
marriages:

Virginia Sinclair (d. 1894) to Pratt Shurter of Samsonville, NY
Caroline Sinclair (d. 1899) to Hewitt Boice (known as the "Bluestone
King") in Hudson Valley, NY and NYC in early 1900's. The sisters were
very interested in their heritage and had attended a gathering of the
Sinclair clan in 1893.  

Caroline's daughter was Virginia Sinclair Boice Seeley (d. 1959),
marrying Frank Barrows Seeley (d. 1952), a minister for more than forty
years at the Fair St. Dutch Reformed Church of Kingston, NY.  They were
my dear great-grandparents.   

I cannot link them up with other Sinclairs in Morrison's book or a book
entitled "The Sinclairs of England." Any leads would be very
appreciated. Thanks!
