1. ** JOHN1 SINCLAIR died 1844.  He married ELIZABETH UNKNOWN.

The will says:
Pp. 356-357: Will of John Sincler of Union District.... To my wife Elizabeth,
all my estate real and personal except as hereinafter named; to Nancy Holcomb,
Anna Bently, Rebecca Wales, John Sincler, James Sincler, William Sincler, and
Benj Sincler, each one dollar; to my daughters Lesha, Polly,  Elizabeth, and
Sarah Jane, each one cow and calf, bed and furniture; Christopher Brandon and
my wife Elizabeth, exrs., 2 Feb 1839. John Sincler (X) (LS), Wit: Christ
Brandon, James Robinson, Lesha Sincler (X).  Proved by James Robinson, 24 aug
1844.

2. ** JAMES "PAP"2 SINCLAIR (JOHN1) was born February 06, 1811 in Alabama, and
died July 17, 1905 in Brown's Creek , Union, SC.  He married SUSAN "MOTHER
SINCLAIR" POWELL 1838.

 born in Alabama and moved to Brown's Creek area of Union Co. sometime in the
early 1830's.
GEN: James was a farmer and made liquor on Sunday while his family was in
GEN: Church.
HUSB: According to Della Harris (As Recorded) James in later years, bought
land and paid for it with a barrel of whiskey.  Once a man trespassed on his
land,  he was warned against it, and later James went to the Church, drug the
man out, beat him up, and had to serve a year in jail for it.
HUSB: Mr. Morris said that James once said he was going to erect a rock on the
Church yard for his son in law where he could crack nuts since he liked them
so well.

Tom Faucett, colored, died on the premises of James Sinclair, a few miles
below Union.  A funeral  service on his death will be delivered next Sunday at
Brown's Creek.

Miss Elizabeth Sinclair died at her home near Brown's Creek.  She and one of
her sisters lived together, just 2 women among the oldest people in the
community.  Miss
Sinclair was born 23 Sept. 1839 and died 19 Dec 1912.  She was 73 yrs. 2 mos.
and 19 days old.  She joined Brown's Creek Baptist Church is 1863.

MARCH 7, 1911

N.M. Sinclair died Saturday at his home at Monarch Mills from Blood Poisoning
& was 
buried Sunday at Browns Creek.  He was in  his 62nd year.

Also, I have found on a land grant map, a George Sinclair who owned land just 
over the river from Union Co., in Fairfield county in the late 1700's, but not
sure if 
he connects to John (generation # 1).

If anyone is interested in this line of Sinclairs, I would love you hear from
you.
